TWO STOREY RED BRICK HOUSE
clontarf
This project involved the demolition of an existing house which was in very poor condition and the replacement with a large three-storey over basement family home.
The client was keen to have a more traditional facade addressing the road front .In keeping with the context and palette of materials of the area, the facade was clad in red brick, the main roof finished in slate with the lower roofs in zinc and painted traditional timber windows to the front elevation. The rear of the house was more contemporary in design , an open plan kitchen with a poured concrete counter top, adjoining dining and family area with a modern wood burning stove. The rear facade had aluminium clad folding doors which opened out onto an attractive outdoor dining space and landscaped garden.
